Meet Our Horses

Buddy

Buddy

Buddy was our first horse. We got him in January 2021. He is a Paint horse and has cute markings on him. He has three big dots on his side that resembles the fingerprints of God. He also has a huge brown mark that looks like the batman sign. In winter his coat gets really long and thick so he sheds a lot. He was very fun to ride. He ended up with arthritis in his knee, so he is retired from riding but he loves to be taken on hand-led walks to graze. You're invited to come visit and take him on a walk. Here is a video of Grace cantering Buddy for the first time after we got him.

Domino

Domino

Domino was our 2nd horse. Matthew had never ridden before. But when Grace saw what a natural he was riding Buddy, we decided to get a second horse so we could ride on the trails together. Domino is an Appaloosa, and he had blue eyes. He was a great beginner horse. One of our great memories before he passed away was that we raced home dodging cliffs. One thing about Appaloosas is that every horse has unique markings and he had a set of musical eighth notes on his back. He had the best neigh that came from his gut. Watch the video to hear him neigh.

Bandit

Bandit

Bandit is our 3rd horse. He came home June 2022. He is a grey and he is huge. He is called Bandit because he steals your heart. Aww. Bandit and Matthew have an unbreakable bond. It is so sweet to watch. Bandit is pretty much a laid back horse, and loves it when people pet him and give him treats. He doesn't spook and has a beautiful temperment.

Ranger

Ranger

Ranger is small but mighty. He always has to be in the lead. He likes to tell everyone who is boss among the other horses. He has unique markings in that he is a flea-bitten grey. He rides like a rocking horse and he loves to canter. In fact, the first year we had him, he did not even trot, he loved to canter so much. We got him March 2024. Come feed him a carrot and you'll be his best friend. He eats everything and loves to eat. He will even eat trees. His nickname is Giraffe.
